i’m nashville bound with 40 pounds of baggage, and i can hear george clooney telling me i’m far too weighed down – by these sweaters and cords and the many relationships pulling on either end of cruising altitude.
but let me tell you something, mr. up in the air, these links are not ropes but lifelines, and while i’d burn the bags if it came to that, i am stronger for the weight of all this connection.
there is always room for an extra sweater to share with sister, a bedside photo to make the baymont feel like home. i’ve no sentimental justification for the 5 pairs of shoes, but i carry them proudly still, for these quirks make life work for me when i’m floating at sea, in the air, on the road, away from home.

I sure like the way your spin ordinary things into something wonderful. Simple thoughts that I’m at home in :).
thanks for stopping by, robin. i’m such a big fan of you, friend.
Well, you know which sentiment I’m leaning toward! You. Are. Great!
Blogs need a “Like” button for posts that are so beautifully succinct and perfectly shaped that to leave a comment almost seems a shame– marring a snow-filled lawn with footprints…
